A Dangerous Vision for Immigration

While elections have ended, the dire impact on immigration has just begun. We urgently need your help to protect our immigrant neighbors today.

Throughout his first term as President and on the campaign trail, President-Elect Donald Trump has vowed to expand disastrous immigration policies, including the mass deportation of undocumented immigrants, large-scale migrant detention camps, ending birthright citizenship, and deliberate family separations. Through these inhumane tools, Trump has promised to “carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”

These extremist policies would negatively affect all Americans, by tearing apart families, dismantling our communities, and severely destabilizing the economy. We will once again likely see immigration and law enforcement raids in our places of work, worship, schools, and hospitals. These will go hand-in-hand with racial profiling, indiscriminate police detention, and increased surveillance that will make all communities less safe, but especially so for communities of color.
