Know Your Constitutional Rights

KYR Red Cards from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center - Print in your preferred language and keep with you at all times!
If you’re over 18, carry your U.S.-issued identification card, immigration papers, or documentation with you at all times. This documentation could include Form I-94 for nonimmigrants, Form I-551 (green card) for lawful permanent residents, certificates of naturalization, and/or U.S. passport. If you don’t have them, tell the officer that you want to remain silent or that you want to consult a lawyer before answering any questions.
